Breakable by Tammara Weber

One of the best books I’ve read until now, Breakable joined my TOP 5 with a frightening intensity. After giving 5 stars to Jacqueline Lucas and Landon Maxfield’s romance I should be accustomed to the beautiful writing of Tammara, seeing as how very happy I was by the news of the release of Breakable, which until then in my mind was nothing more than Lucas point of view, as is a current style on the New Adult novels. Sweet mistake and wonderful surprise with each passing page, Breakable is not simply the version with the male vision of the same romance read in Easy, but Lucas story from beginning to end. It is difficult to go into detail without giving spoilers, even harder is trying to express myself about a perfect modern work as this one in a category of books often trivialized.

“I was full of irrational desires to be what I could never be again, to have what I could never have. I wanted to be whole”

What I can say here is that Tammara definitely increased the quality standard of the New Adult gender and proved with a mastery use of words that it is not enough to be published you must be enthralling.

It’s been 3 days that I finished the book and waited to write this review and to start reading another book, first I didn’t want the influence of another story in my mind and second that such was the magnitude of the impact of Tammara’s words on me with the feelings, sufferings, discovery, fulfillment and joys of Lucas, I needed a period to process everything. My husband asked me why all this, how come I was feeling like that, and so I tried to explain referring to how he feels when listening to a good lyrical or music, that when a person has the gift of writing is indescribable the feeling generated in each of us but essential the desire to share that thrill with others .

“She conjured love in the heart of a man whose soul had been frozen for years, anaesthetized by too much pain and guilt to bear.”

So here is my suggestion for now 😉 Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

Positively a successful start of 2014

cozy_club_ano3
I can definitely say I started the year in high spirits, with two romances of deferent series that made this past few absolutely enjoyable. Granted, I adore Robyn Carr and Samantha Young, completely different writing but remarkable just the same. So is no wonder that I was in ecstasy on January 7, 2014 with the release of Before Jamaica Lane. But last back up a little, since I started the year reading The Hero by Robyn Carr. Here are some thoughts.

The Hero 3 stars
Thunder Point Series by Robyn Carr
3 novels – The Wonderer, The Newcomer and The Hero. A release in March 1, 2014 of The Chance.

After reading all of Virgin River books, is easy to affirm that I had high hopes for this new series of Robin, but unfortunately I have to say that it started slow, boarding on boring actually, but being Robyn Carr I wasn’t discourage and kept going and it’s so good that I did because “The Hero” was well worth the wait, charming and infectious, the story takes us in a journey of discovery, courage and love, but with that big foot on reality, that makes Robin’s novels so special.

Happy New Year Robin, here for an even better one in The Chance 😉

17766752 4/5 stars
On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young
3 novels – On Dublin Street, Down London Road, Before Jamaica Lane. A short store named Until Fountain and a release in June 3, 2014 of Fall From India Place.

Hold on to you knickers ladies, or panties for the mortals, the improbable happened, Samantha was once again able to reach perfection with Before Jamaica Lane, just as she did on the first novel with Joss and Braden. Now last be real, if you read On Dublin Street you’ll know what I mean, it wasn’t possible to think that new characters throw in the last book could reach the high standards of our bitchy Joss and man cave Braden, but Samantha Young manage that just right with the lovely Liv and handsome Nate. You’ll cry, laugh, throw a fit, but mainly you’ll fall in love, again and again, because that’s how it is with this series. Oh and last not forget to mention how sexy and steamy it all are.

So hand up for the fascinating Scotland and divine Samantha Young, that 2014 brings us many more from where all this came from 🙂

Nothing Left to Lose by Kirsty Moseley

942949_211990758954943_1295451208_n 4 stars
Maybe I’m a little biased, since I love all Kirsty’s work, but once I heard Nothing Left to Lose was going to be issued, as Anna would say, I was so happy I could burst, having read it twice on Wattpad, I could not wait to get my hands on a copy, even if it’s just an ebook, so when I saw the chance to review it, I jumped at the opportunity and here we are, now let’s go to the point.

The first edition of Nothing Left to Lose by Kirsty Moseley with the beautiful cover by Mollie Wilson is finally here, after a long wait Kirsty’s fans can at last have Anna and Ashton back, and with readers from all over the word, we can have them on our shelves.

This book is not captivating because of a hot guy and a distressed girl, but through the connection that Kirsty provides us with her characters and background to the feelings that are shown in the story. Yes Anna is a troubled and insecure girl but she has good reason to be, and of course if you are a woman reader you will fall in love with the hot SWAT Agent Taylor, but it goes so beyond just looks descriptions, that I guarantee you’ll have Ashton withdrawal after you’ve finish the book.

If you have read this romance on Wattpad, you know what I mean, but make no mistake; you should purchase and read it again. Kirsty has reached a whole new level of writing on this edition, it´s absolutely great. Even though she took off some interesting scenes, which I won’t go in to details, the story is much more cohesive and put together that made me really impressed with the editing work done to the book.

For those of you who only know Kirsty by her public work, or never had the chance to read her books before, go ahead and dig in, you won’t be sorry. Nothing Left to Lose is a sexy adult romance, for +18 years old readers, due to strong and detailed sex and subject matter descriptions, it was previously uploaded on Wattpad and it surpassed 25 million reads before official publication. This book is in no way a light reading, but is worth every page, as we go on the journey with Anna and Ashton, you will find hearth breaking, loss and grief that will make you cry, but you´ll also be accompanied by unimaginable hope, beauty, laughter and love.

Synopses

“Nothing Left to Lose is a New Adult romance novel dealing with love, lust, loss and grief. It is also one girl’s struggle to find herself after being broken at the hands of a monster. Anna must learn to forgive herself for the death of her boyfriend and deal with the past before she can move on. Can Ashton Taylor, a newly qualified SWAT agent, help her heal, or is he just not enough?”

Easy por Tammara Webber

easy 5 estrelas

5 stars

In the New Adult genre I would say that Tammara Webber rocked with the story Easy. So much so that I had to go back to past posts and reviewing notes from a book or another.
Easy is the story of Jacqueline and her unique mysterious hero on a college campus.
The truth is I can’t say much about the story without putting my foot in my mouth and end up telling parts of the book that should not be told ahead of time. What I can say is that Tammara ties the story in a way that everything has its time, and when the pieces fit is simply charming. The book is so well written that I did not want to stop reading, and had to use late hour to satisfy my curiosity of each new chapter. Of course it was worth every minute, intriguing, surprising, sometimes frightening, but above all exciting.
So here is one more tip, I absolutely recommend Easy.

Synopses

“He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…
The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.
Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth – and find the unexpected power of love.
A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl’s struggle to regain the trust she’s lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.”

Desastre Iminente (Walking Disaster) por Jamie McGuire

desastre iminente 3.5 estrelas

Sinopse

“Você pode amar alguém demais?
Travis Maddox aprendeu duas coisas come sua mãe antes dela morrer: Ame intensamente.

walking desaster Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire
3.5 stars

It took me some time to decide and finally read Travis point of view of the story, after being in love with both Abby and him in Beautiful Disaster, I wasn’t sure how much more Jamie Mcguire could do four us readers in another version of the same history. Now I regret not reading it sooner, should have read one after the other, or at least a couple of weeks after. So that’s my advice to you, read one after the other or as soon as possible, Travis version gives closure to a lot of questions that it’s left from his behavior and actions. Also how he sees Abby is quite something.
So for those helpless in love or just romantic by nature, this story will certainly catch your attention. As it did with me.

Synopses

“Can you love someone too much?
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.”
