To be honest I should have done this review ages ago, seeing as I have read this book the minute it came online on Amazon.com two years ago. But as we say in Brazil, better late than never 🙂
Amber and Liam’s story was the first one Kirsty decided to publish, and it was a great choice being as how this teen couple brings you right in to the story and make you cheer for them from beginning to end. Passionate and tender despite all that has happened in her childhood and her own fears Amber takes a great leap of faith with Liam when she start’s seeing him in a different light, suddenly hi is not just her brother’s best friend and protector and unknown feeling come to life.
What I like most of this story is that even though they are 16 and 18 years old, the story in itself is mature with its heart breaking points to its happy moments. If you like modern romance, it doesn’t matter how old you are, I’m positive you’ll liked it.
Amber Walker and her older brother, Jake, have an abusive father. One night her brother’s best friend, Liam, sees her crying and climbs through her bedroom window to comfort her. That one action sparks a love/hate relationship that spans over the next eight years.
Liam is now a confident, flirty player who has never had a girlfriend before. Amber is still emotionally scarred from the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. Together they make an unlikely pair.
Their relationship has always been a rocky one, but what happens when Amber starts to view her brother’s best friend a little differently? And how will her brother, who has always been a little overprotective, react when he finds out that the pair are growing closer? Find out in The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window
